Power infrastructure arrives as a small number of very large pieces. A transformer or a turbine section is not a container problem, it is a route problem — bridge ratings, overhead clearances, turning radii and a police escort, planned before the equipment ships rather than after it lands.
These movements are also unforgiving of sequence. Plant components arrive against a construction programme, and a piece delivered out of order can idle a site more effectively than a piece not delivered at all. That makes bonded storage as important as haulage: equipment can be held under customs bond and released against the programme rather than against the vessel schedule.
